It was an overcast day, I was teaching then, and already at work when my husband called. At that moment we were not exactly sure what happened, but we did know it was tragic. Some of the parents came and checked out their children from school. It was definitely a time to be with family. Oh, how I wanted to be home with my husband. As the day went on, more horrific news, more lives lost and more news coverage, and with that came more confusion, more fear and more sadness. We came together, we prayed, and we cried. America changed that day, I think we all changed that day. May we never forget the lives that were lost on that horrific September Day. May God bless America now and always.
