Well Lucas is in bed, tomorrow is his first day of 3rd grade. I still can't believe he is in the 3rd grade, I know it's not like it is his senior year, but I'm still sad. It is going by so fast. Max and I will be quite lonely tomorrow with just the two of us at home. I guess I will have some extra time to work on the two parties that I'm planning right now. I am having so much trouble finding things for my nephew's motorcycle party. I did find some great black and white check cupcake liners from Sweets and Treats Boutique, so I'm happy about that!
But black and white check ribbon is pretty scarce and I haven't been able to find any black and white check scrapbook paper anywhere. I hope I can find some soon, the party is in 2 weeks! I have had better luck with the Strawberry Shortcake party. I won some vintage invitations from ebay! I am so excited about that!! Sweetly Sweet has a FREE, yes that's right FREE Sweet Berrylicious party download available on her blog and to top it off I was at Michael's today I got some cute strawberry paper products that were half off. The cups and napkins are perfect, because we are having a vintage strawberry shortcake birthday and now, all the strawberry shortcake party supplies have this teen-age looking strawberry shortcake on them. BOO!! Not a big fan of the new Miss Shortcake. I'm excited for the new school year, I'm supposed to be more organized, more productive, more organized, oh who am I trying to kid...Good night!
My nephew's party was today. We had so much fun. Just wanted to post some pictures of the dessert table. I definitely need to invest in a bigger table, I hate that everything is so close together. Overall I am happy with the result. Of course I see things I would like to change, but with the budget I had, I think it turned out pretty cool. We had oreo pops, cupcakes and different kinds of candy. My nephew loves motorcycles and his daddy has a suzuki motorcycle, so the theme took off from there. Next, Strawberry Shortcake! I can't wait!
